"We visited your restaurant on Saturday evening and have to say that we were wonderfully surprised to find such quality tucked away in Uphill. All the food was excellent, especially the calves liver which must rival that served at Cipriani in London which is the best (I thought) I had experienced previously. "This was our first visit to this out of town restaurant at Uphill near Weston Super Mare. The village is very appealing and a far cry from the traditional seaside town of Weston. The restaurant is perhaps suited for more formal dining but on our lunchtime visit the welcome and service, by one of the most delightful waitresses we've come across, was attentive and very friendly. The restaurant was quiet with only one other table occupied on Thursday lunchtime but for evening dining we would imagine the atmosphere would be very enjoyable. The food was first class and compares with other quality Italian establishments visited in the Bristol area. 
Even the garlic bread had an appeal, supported by a large bowl of lovely olives and some very reasonable priced glasses of wine. The pasta based main courses were tasty and excellent; sweets and a cheeseboard were equally good resulting in our guest immediately re-booking for herself and a friend the following week. All in all, a great find and surprisingly the friend who has lived in the town for the past 50 years or more hadn't heard of the restaurant although it was previously named 'Dimitris Bistro'. Its looks set to become a firm favourite."

"Living in Cambridgeshire, selecting a restaurant in a different part of the Country purely from a web site is a bit hit or miss, but La Cucina is an absolute gem. Even at lunch time there was a lovely friendly atmosphere, the food was really excellent and all my party were raving about the tastes, thankyou Chef. The wine list was comprehensive and priced to suit any palette.

The waitress was extremely friendly, very helpful, with a good knowledge of the dishes,well done Joanna.

My guests who live local and had never been to La Cucina before, were very impressed and will certainly return as indeed we will on our next visit to the area."

"Booking a table for eighteen is never easy but the lovely staff at La Cucina were great. We pre-ordered our food and it all arrived promptly and was totally delicious. The seafood pasta was packed with seafood, the pizzas were perfect, the pasta fresh and tasty, the crème brûlée was creamy and a dream. The house white a Chilean Sauvignon Blanc was crisp, dry and reasonable. It is a lovely looking restaurant, has enthusiastic and efficient staff and was an absolute pleasure."

"We holiday in Burnham on Sea 2 or 3 times a year, and we were advised to visit La Cucina Italiana from some friends on the last visit.

We made the effort to take the family to dine there, and our efforts were rewarded with a superb evening with some quality home cooked food. For our amusement my 6 year old son kept asking me why the man at the back of the room kept staring at him…… I said he must be board !!!!!!

To fully understand this comment, go and find out for your self, you will not be disappointed."

"I took a party of eight to La Cucina in Uphill for a special occasion lunch; the food and service were excellent. Fresh fish was cooked to perfection, the special Vodinho, I think that's what it was called, braised steak melted in the mouth, fresh vegetables were served with a lemon zest, and desserts were great, especially the tiramisu. The layout and décor is smart but relaxed. It's the best restaurant in Weston and the best meal I have had in the town for years, and reasonably priced too."
